The adrenaline and uncertainty of competition is at the core of the HoopVerse experience. Seasons in HoopVerse are structured like in the NBA with a regular season and playoffs for qualified teams. To make things exciting and allow new users to jump into the action fairly quickly, seasons last 70 days:
41 days ( Dirk ) of regular season with 82 games (so 2 games per day on average)
Around 15 days of playoffs (4 rounds, best of 7 games series)
Around 14 of days offseason (free agency, welcoming new teams if needed)
HoopVerse features multiple independent leagues, each designed to provide an immersive experience by grouping users based on their timezone. This also ensures games are scheduled at convenient times. Here’s everything you need to know about HoopVerse leagues:
Independent 30-Team Leagues:
Each league consists of 30 franchises. If a league doesn’t have enough user-controlled teams at the start of a season, AI teams will fill the remaining slots until the next season begins.
Players in AI teams:
Do not evolve.
Do not get injured.
Cannot be bought or signed.
Timezone-Based Grouping:
Leagues are based on your location, not your franchise city, ensuring games fit your schedule.
League Levels and Reward Pools:
At the start of each season, the overall rating of players across all teams in the competition is calculated.
The total reward pool is set based on this number, with tougher competitions offering higher prizes.
Conferences:
Each league is divided into two conferences of 15 teams, enhancing regional rivalries and immersion.
Locked League Registration:
Once you register for a league, you cannot change leagues during the season. This ensures compelling rivalries and a deeper connection to your league.
Rare Exceptions: Changes may only be made under exceptional circumstances.
You do not necessarily need to be available at the time of the game. Simply set your lineup, rotations and playstyle ahead of the game.
Registering for a competition is quick and easy:
Go to the Competitions Page:
Navigate to the competitions section.
Find Your Preferred League:
Locate a league that suits your preferences.
Register Your Team:
Click the “Register” button and select the team you want to register.
Make sure to fill your roster with 15 players after registering and before the competition starts. If you fail to do so, you will get kicked out. Check out packs and marketplace sections to learn how to get players.
Please be nice and do not register if you have no plans to complete your roster.
As new franchises emerge, new leagues are created, ensuring no user has to wait long to join the action. Leagues are not synchronized, meaning each one operates independently, offering unique timelines and experiences.
On the league's page, you will find your typical player and team stats, updated after each game.
At the end of the regular season, individual awards appear on the page. These awards count towards the league's reward pool.
You can check out the schedule of any team, including yours, by going to the team's profile page, and then clicking on "See schedule" at the bottom of the page.
