Hi, I’m Mathis MATHIEU, a 26-year-old entrepreneur from France with a passion for sports, technology, and gaming. I hold two master’s degrees:
Master in Management from ESCP Business School (#4 in the Financial Times ranking).
Master in Statistics and AI from ENSAE Paris, France’s leading school for Data Science and AI.
After completing my studies, I turned down high-paying roles at top firms to pursue something closer to my heart. As you may have guessed, I’m a proud Dallas Mavericks fan! My love for basketball is matched only by my passion for football (soccer, for US readers) and Formula 1, which I’ve followed since I was five years old.
Growing up, I spent countless hours playing sports management games like NBA2K MyGM/MyNBA and Football Manager, always wondering how to make those experiences more meaningful. While dominating the competition is always the goal, the challenge often felt too easy, especially against predictable AI opponents. On top of that, the annual releases business model can be frustrating—forcing players to start from scratch every year and buy a new game with only minor improvements.
That’s where the idea for HoopVerse was born: a multiplayer experience where you compete against and collaborate with real users, combining strategy, intelligence, and community. Unlike traditional sports games, HoopVerse is continuously updated, offering a dynamic ecosystem where progress is preserved, and the recurring revenue model comes from the natural replacement of retiring players, not from forcing users to restart every year.
What sets HoopVerse apart is that your efforts are truly rewarded. Beyond the thrill of competition, you have the opportunity to earn real rewards, turning your strategic decisions into something tangible. It’s a game designed to not only be immersive and competitive but also to provide long-term value for its players.
HoopVerse is my way of turning a lifelong passion into an immersive and innovative gaming experience.
If you’re interested in joining me on this journey, I’d love to connect!
